About Rotorua Musical Theatre …. has been an active society since 1945, over the years presenting a range of productions - operettas, musical theatre, plays, musical comedy and children's theatre.  Our "home" is the Casa Blanca Theatre, 122 Riri Street, Rotorua, which has a capacity of just over 100 patrons.  Most of our productions are presented "theatre restaurant" style.  Our current membership is around 160 full members.  Our programme usually consists of three or four productions each year, one in the Convention Centre Civic Theatre which has an audience capacity of just over 700, other productions are at the Casa Blanca Theatre.  We attempt to vary our selection of shows to productions with wide appeal, both for audiences and participants.

We are a very active and social society, often travelling to visit other Societies within our region and have an active social programme - whenever we can fit it in between shows.  Our members are often called upon to provide entertainment or "extras" for themes for the many conferences held in Rotorua throughout the year.

Our extensive theatre wardrobe is available for costume hire as well as sets, props.  Opening hours are Monday 12 - 2pm, and Friday 5 - 7pm.
