Playhouse Theatre in Glen Eden, Auckland advise of the passing of their Patron,

Mr Jack Lawrence who passed away on Tuesday 7^th October from a stroke.

Jack, who was a Life Member, had served two terms as President of the Society and had recently received the

MTNZ Merit Award in 2007. A special function was held to mark the occasion and many of Jack’s good friends

and admirers attended. The MTNZ Medal was presented to Jack by President Dorothy Chisholm and worn proudly

thereafter.

Jack was 92 years of age and had been a stalwart and great supporter of the Playhouse for many, many years.

“Gentleman Jack” will be sadly missed by his Playhouse family.
