DANZ Diary of NEW ZEALAND DANCE – October 2008

DANZ Quarterly magazine is out now. If you’re a DANZ member you will have received it by post. Otherwise you can buy it from bookshops throughout the country or from mercurysubs.co.nz

Tempo and The Body dance festivals contribute to the multitude of choices for audiences during October. Tierra Flamenco is touring the festivals and you can win tickets for the Nelson and Christchurch shows - scroll down for details.

We’ve been working hard since the launch of the Dance Industry Strategy on a detailed Action Plan of how the goals of the strategy can be realised. The Action Plan will be up on the DANZ website for consultation soon. There has been some media interest in the strategy - on the Radio NZ website you can hear a podcast of an Arts On Sunday interview and Tom Cardy has an interesting blog on the Stuff website.

DANZ Quarterly has a round up of the spring dance festivals, so make sure you get yourself a copy.
